For your assignment:
Select a Grade Level and indicate that at the top of your paper – PreK or K or Gr. 1 or Gr. 2.
Design 3 Literacy Centers. At least 1 center must focus on comprehension. Do not include guided reading as a center.
For EACH center:
Indicate the focus of the center
Materials needed for the center
List NY State Learning Standards addressed by the center. List prefix/number and write out the standard (e.g., KR1: Develop and answer questions about a text. (RI&RL)
Explain what students will do at each center
Indicate how the teacher will evaluate the student work that is done at the centers
