How the US may be seen as “other” from the eyes of Rahel and how she would react in modern day America?

Write an essay in which you address how one character or speaker defines the Self, and how that definition and the values of that character’s culture could cause the character/speaker to see U.S. 2019 culture as Other.

Other in the sense that our culture makes it difficult for us to understand or to feel like we could be part of their group. Others as in outcasts.
