This film was not subtitled when presented in theatres and as you read, the text of the film was made available in newspapers in the Irish language only. Since the film was only shown in large cities where many English-dominant speakers lived and since many native Irish speakers in the 1930s had low reading skills in their first language, it is notable that no English language aids were made available (subtitles or translation of text in the newspaper or fliers).
