Some ways to gather information include virtual visits; vendor demonstrations; on-site visits; interviews via face-to-face, phone, or teleconference. [] Within our hospital, our EHR is Meditech and we also use centricity PACS for imaging which interfaces with the system. The EHR covers nursing and provider aspects by providing clinical documentation and ordering solutions to improve patient care and the clinician’s experience. Data can be manually entered and processed within the system and also data is entered as it interfaces from other systems. Numerous reports can be generated for example sepsis reports etc. decision support is used with medication ordering as well as medication administration where clinicians receive alerts if there are conflicts with medications such as duplicates or allergy warnings.
