An annotated bibliography: Choose a bioethical issue not covered in Meilaender’s book, (Meilaender, Gilbert. Bioethics: A Primer for Christians. Third Edition. Grand Rapids, MI: Eerdmans, 2013. ISBN: 978-0802867704). Some options might be maternal care, care of critically ill newborns, managing chronic illness, athletic performance-enhancing drugs, human cloning, HIPAA, animal care ethics, and eco-ethical issues. Create an annotated bibliography of at least 5 additional theological or Christian ethical resources that address this issue. At least 3 of these must be from academic scholarly resources, for example peer-reviewed articles, chapters in scholarly books, or articles in theological encyclopedias. Other resources can be from popular sources, but these must still be high quality, for example articles from high quality Catholic magazines, articles from general encyclopedias, or chapters in popular Catholic books. For each resource, provide a brief annotation – a short paragraph of at least 150 words describing the content of each resource and evaluating its usefulness for understanding the bioethical issue under consideration. Then propose a thesis and write two more paragraphs explaining which principles are involved and how you would approach the issue. Grading will be based on: 1) Quality of Sources; 2) Quality of Thesis and explanation; 3) Quality of APA Formatting and organization. For the Annotated Bibliography, you do not need a separate References page, but each reference must be formatted properly. Double space your assignment and use one-inch margins and a 12-point font.
