As you read and learn about some of the disorders diagnosed in childhood, please note that these are specifically diagnosed in childhood although there may also be an adult diagnosis that the childhood disorders develops into or corresponds to. Some disorders must have symptoms that begin in childhood in order to make the diagnosis, even if in adulthood such as ADHD.
