Objective: To research the differences between countries with a Universal Healthcare System and those without this system in place. Introduction (10 points): Introduce the two countries you picked and why you chose those countries. Please remember Africa and Europe are NOT countries. Thesis statement needs to include if you will be writing for or against a universal system. BODY Part 1 (100 points): You must pick 2 countries, one in the Global North and one in the Global South. Not the United States. Global North and Global South is determined by the socioeconomic systems of the country, not the equator. For example, Australia is in the southern hemisphere but is a Global North country. Research these countries on the healthcare system. You should find information including what type of healthcare system is in place, when did the system go into place, costs involved in implementing the system, how did the government implement the system and the history of the country. You need to also research whether this is a successful system or not. How did the system affect the overall well being of the people. Explain the problems with the system. 40 points for each country.
