Write an essay on the History of rock and roll .
The Final Project will be an essay that will include a musical analysis of a piece of music used in the course. Your essay will answer one of three overarching questions. The questions are:
1.Music is a cultural activity. How has Rock n’ Roll music, and its development, reflected the culture of the United States from its inception during the 1950’s to its continued growth today? (To answer this question more precisely, you may want to focus on one aspect of culture – social, political, etc.)
2.According to the text, most Rock groups since the 1960’s can trace their musical roots back to either The Rolling Stones or The Beatles. Select one of these groups to answer the question: How have The Rolling Stones or Beatles continued to change and influence Rock music since the 1960’s?
3.Rock music has morphed from the music of rebellious teenagers to that of commercial success. However, not all music is art and some of it is simply product. How has the development of the Music Industry affected Rock music and its development?
