II Psychology Portfolio (20% of grade) Apply what you have learned about psychology to real world issues. Pick one construct from each chapter and define it. Please note that the construct cannot be the title of the chapter but must be a topic or term in the chapter. Create a portfolio consisting of cartoons, pictures, or a brief article. Write an explanation of how your clipping illustrates the concept from the text. Your responses should be at least ½ page in length for each entry. You need to do one portfolio entry per chapter. You will email the portfolio to me as a Word document. I do not use Google docs. Please be sure to post the picture, cartoon, or brief article as part of your portfolio. You will find examples of portfolios that other students have done under the content section on Blackboard. Your first portfolio will be due on October 15 and will cover Chapters 1, 2, 3, 9, 6, and 8. Each portfolio entry will be worth a maximum of 3 points. You will receive one point for a correct discussion of the social psychological construct and 1 point for integrating the construct with the material you have selected. You will receive ½ point for a subpar discussion of the concept (your discussion of the concept does not indicate a thorough understanding of the concept) and ½ point for subpar integration of the material (you loosely connect the concept with the material). You will receive no points for a specific chapter if there is no portfolio entry for that chapter. If you tie the picture, cartoon, or brief article together with the construct in a superior manner, you will receive a bonus point for that entry. Thus, the maximum score that you can receive for the first half of the portfolio is 18 points and maximum score you can receive for the second half of the portfolio is 15 points. Thus, the maximum number of points you can receive is 33 points.
