This paper will focus on the surgical and initial considerations in developing a rehabilitation program. This paper should include: Structures involved, mechanism of injury (s) what occurs during injury, what type of forces are needed for this injury, anatomical make up of the structure(s) involved, background on the surgery (are there different types? Different procedures, which do you chose if so, is there a story behind how the surgery got its name? (example: tommy John’s) H Basics of how is it performed? Open? Arthroscopic? (give us the foundations of what happens.) Discuss post op concerns and the translation of rehabilitation. What are some of the concerns in rehabilitation. Are there specific protocols that must be adhered to. (ACL cannot do running until X amount of time, why?) Discussion the rehabilitation process and when key landmarks of progression take place and why? ( for example: when can a throwing program be initiated?) You need to cite your sources as well in AMA style Page minimum: 8-10 Make sure you have: Introduction, body and conclusion with transitions No first person dialog Do not use repetitive words unless they are necessary in the medical language Use appropriate terminology This is all factual When in doubt, cite.
