a) Problem statement: Clearly identify a social or cultural inequity that impacts the health or mental health of a community. What is the counselor’s role in this problem issue?

b) Resources & experience: Identify a local agency or organization working to address this problem. Your role is to immerse yourself with this organization in some way either through interviewing staff, volunteering or other methods of immersion you seek approval for with the professor.

c) Take action: Engage in at least one justice or advocacy effort that helps address this problem. Get active in some way, shape or form in addressing this inequity. The manner in which you take action will differ for each of you. Identify 2 ways other counselors can get involved and future efforts you would suggest getting involved in to create change.
