From when I previously worked here as an emergency department technician from there to now, I have seen this pediatric ED go from a 11a-11pm staffed RN to now 24/7 staffed RN. § With RVS season, I was able to help educate last year during the pediatric respiratory surge with the use of opti flow as that was something we did on the regular at my previous employer. § Right now, our broseloew code cart, our emergency department educator, respiratory, and myself have been working closely for months to update. This is a large area for improvement for the safety of improvement. § More education and hiring of more staff as well once the new center opens. • Career/personal accomplishments to date o Being part of the medical field was never a question for me. I became a volunteer EMT at the young age of 16 for my town. o My biggest personal accomplishment to date as ever been graduating nursing school. § I graduated Magna cum laude. § At this hospital received the Daisy Award, and the nurse excellence award. § Numerous of patient letters. Over 300 hours of Preceptor time in Pediatrics ED of new hires. I am relied upon within the department. I am upon called all hours of the night when off duty by other fellow coworkers for advice in certain situations, or where supplies are kept that certain coworkers that do not often float to pediatrics ER.
