Google signs up to 2 billion dollar into wind and solar investment that is placed in the Mojave desert bear the California-Nevada border, also known as “The Ivanpah.” This energy deal will include 18 separate agreements to supply Google with electricity from wind and solar projects across the world. Google also has become the first company of to match 100% of its electricity use with renewable energy sources, as they have bought more than 7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2017, as it matched the same target again in 2019. Once the most recent deals have been signed, Google’s supply agreements with renewable energy developers will total 5.5GW.
