The specific topic to be studied is the exploration of the experiences of mentored nurse faculty employed at a 2-4-year undergraduate nursing program in the United States who received mentoring as a new nurse faulty. In this basic qualitative study, the focus will be on the concept of mentoring that takes place in a mentoring relationship and the importance of mentoring for nurse educators that lead to retention as nurse educators.
