Choose one of the poems from the list below and write an analysis (500 words) that focuses on how one (or maybe more) of the elements shapes the poem’s meaning. Consider: meter, end rhyme, simile, metaphor, allusions, diction, connotations, sonnet or other verse forms, the speaker, and/or the universal. (See my sample explication of the poem “Richard Corey”) For this paper you may quote from the poem; you are not required to use in-text documentation. You are required to have a notation at the end.
