Discuss your work as it relates to your thesis and also how it relates to the culture and style of the period from which it comes.

After researching and presenting your In-Class Presentation topic, you will develop a “thesis” or central idea, based on what you have learned about the topic. You will do further research related to your topic to help support and define your central thesis. (A thesis statement declares what you believe and what you intend to prove). Discuss your work as it relates to your thesis and also how it relates to the culture and style of the period from which it comes. You may want to compare and contrast the style with earlier or later styles. (Please note there will be many different ways of pursuing the thesis, depending on your topic. If you have questions about this, please consult me for help). You must use examples of works of art that you included in your In-Class presentation as the focus of your paper. It is acceptable and even recommended to reference other works of art from your textbooks and classroom lectures.
