You will articulate this aspect of the assessment through a self-assessment at the end of the course. INSTRUCTIONS: You are a journalist whose assignment is to write an article for the Afro-Hispanic Review on an aspect of Afro-Latin America–culture, history, art, music, literature, religion or politics. From the context of the issues, texts and frameworks we’ve explored in class, research and write an extended essay (5-6 pages) and include a Works Cited (Obras citadas) page with 5-10 sources (books, chapters, articles, films, websites, infographics) about the concept/issue/person/relationship you have chosen. The Works Cited page should conform to APA or MLA conventions. It should be abundantly clear in essay how your learning in class has shaped your work.
