This assignment has two parts:Part 1: Response Task (I have completed this, and it is attached for reference)This research should involve collecting material about the event, such as news articles, social media, images, video, as well as academic sources that explore the event itself or issues surrounding it. You need to understand the history of your event and how it fits within the ‘big stories’ of contemporary Australia.Part 2: Reflective EssayThis part of the assignment requires you to reflect critically on the politics of representation and voice that went into the construction of your response. In this essay you need to provide:A short literature review: What sources did you engage with? What did they say about the event? Why did they choose to represent the event in a certain way?Methodology: How did you translate your sources and discussions into a creative response and what factors influenced the final form of your response?Theory: Describe the way one/some of the theories discussed in this course informed the way you constructed your response.Positionality: What position did you adopt in your response task? Critically analyse and reflect on the way your own positionality shaped your response.You will be assessed on the following criteria:- Engagement with a wide range of texts relating to your event.- The ability to produce a sensitive, coherent and nuanced response.- Evidence of creativity and reflexivity in both tasks- Ability to reflect on some of the key ideas explored in the course that shape and inform the production of stories.- Clarity of expression and presentation- Correct and consistent referencing
