Last year my girlfriend (Sophia) got sick with an unknown disease and had to leave UCLA for the end of winter quarter and all of spring. Also in February the apartment I was living on next to UCLA got flooded so I had to move back home for Spring 2019. First time in 10 years my family is all living in the same household. I have two older brothers, David (25) Michael (29) both of whom are gay, and the dynamic in my house is my parents are still trying ( trying )to accept them fully. I love basketball and miss the NBA with all my heart.I miss Kobe Bryant so much and it pains me and this Pandemic has been tough.COURSE DESCRIPTION:This course aims for an interdisciplinary approach (history and literature), seeking to explore the links between social structures, culture, and history. Course will also examine how fictional accounts of historical events are constructed, and how they become normative texts in the making of historical myths. Furthermore, the course makes available in English, the important Spanish contribution to Europe’s cultural, social and political history in the late Middle Ages and the early modern period.
