However, evaluating literacy as a contextual framework in writing leads to a need to understand it based on its impacts and the role it plays. In this regard, literacy stems from an understanding of information, whether it is written or spoken. As such, literacy has more to do with the textual arrangement of words as well as pronunciation. Therefore, the literacy framework inquires about the way of arranging particular syllables and vowels, how they are spoken, and the specific meaning they generate. Literacy also elicits questions about the possibility of different languages conflicting. Bazerman (2004) helps derive inquiry on how speech influences literacy in a way that affects people’s behaviors and lives. Ideally, Bazerman is answering the inquiry on the role of speech in organizing human behaviors and interactions. Even though he offers it as a direct question making it easy for the readers to know his focus areas, he indirectly evaluates the role of literacy in people’s lives. Primarily, speech and texts are building blocks for all literacy devices. Therefore, the ability to understand these texts and speech amounts to literacy. As such, if the texts and speech play a part in organizing people, then it can well be said that literacy is what organizes people. Based on this, literacy shapes the relationship among humans by enabling them to interact. Similarly, literacy through texts helps people to write down their plans and their execution to result in better living experiences. Therefore, literacy is responsible for the quality of life that people live.Literacy, as a framework, plays a significant role in people’s life. However, identifying this role requires breaking down literacy into speech and texts. In this regard, it becomes easier to understand how people use literacy daily to shape their experiences.
