In I Corinthians 15:13-14 Paul says, “But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without foundation, and so is your faith.” It is a historical fact that a man named Jesus lived on the earth 2,000 years ago. There is also a reliable record of what Jesus taught that can be found in the four gospels. So why do Christians believe Jesus was more than just a man; and why do Christians believe the teachings of Jesus are divine? The answer is the resurrection. If Jesus really did rise from the dead, then it proves he was more than just a man: he was the Son of God. And if Jesus was the Son of God, then his teachings are more than just moral, they are divine and demand our attention. In other words, the Christian worldview hinges on whether the resurrection really happened. William Lane Craig and Lee Strobel, authors of The Case for Easter have provided some convincing arguments on this subject. What do you think?
