This is the abstract and the paragraph structure: Abstract: Over the centuries, “wrapped” bodies were buried in different contexts: cities, cemeteries, countryside, houses, forests, churches, etc. This was related to different reasons: ritual, worship, social status, etc. Even the “wrapping” material could change depending on what you wanted to conceal: fabric, bricks, concrete, lead, etc. However, sometimes, this was necessary to mislead a “crime scene”: violent death, homicide, tortures, etc. Although the definition of a “crime” is nowadays well known to law enforcement, this was not so obvious in the past. This article presents some ” wrapped crime scenes” of suspicious burials, analyzed to using modern archaeological techniques, such as 3D surface acquisition, GIS, GPR modelling, and stratigraphic excavation of the burial sites. New technologies allow to get more information on past killings and possible murder practices and offer a better understanding of archaeological “wrapped crime scene”. 1. Introduction 2.
