This method will help you getthe most out of the ‘teaching documents’ we encounter throughout the semester. To ensure that you fullyunderstand how the process works and to begin our formal writing assignments, you will write a reflectiveessay on the RLW process.How this essay should be written?First, describe your reading and writing process before enrolling in ENG 101. How do youtypically approach reading materials for courses? How has that method worked for you? What has failed?Have you ever used reading to help you improve as a writer?Your paragraphs should be narrative, detailed and give specific examples and anecdotes.Second, explain RLW. Your explanation should be based on the class reading, and you shouldreference the assigned texts. Since you did not create RLW, you have to cite the experts who explained theprocess. This should be two to three paragraphs long. In this section, you can answer the followingquestions: What is RLW? How does it work? What is the purpose? How is RLW different than traditionalmethods of reading? How does RLW improve one’s writing?Third, show 2-3 writing techniques that can be identified by using the RLW method.
