Write an auto-ethnography analysis of your own educational experiences, as they relate to the course themes of diversity and difference (and associated issues of power and perception). Focus on access to education and the historical context within which you (your family) lived. Remember that race, class, and gender are significant in looking at the sociopolitical contexts in U.S. schools. You can use/answer the following questions to write your analysis: Where did you go to school? How did you feel about school? Did you see yourself as successful? Why or why not? Interview family members about their educational history using the same questions.
