Do you believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life?

The winner of last week’s “Question of the Week” competition was Damian with 13 votes. Well done Damian! Here is the question: Do you believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life? I chose this specific question to bring into this week’s discussion because it allows us to think critically about a subject that is not a social or political issue but rather something greater than ourselves, which is the universe. Much of the universe is unexplored and will likely remain that way but even if that were to always remain the case, don’t you wonder if countless light-years away there is a planet similar to Earth in which the aliens there, if intelligent, are wondering the same thing?
