Your task will be to carefully analyze each piece and make an argument for how each work investigates your particular theme.Your 5-page essay, describing the exhibition, will be coupled with a presentation given on the last day of class. You will also edit the Wikipedia page of one of your artists.3 Components:1. 5-Page Paper2. Wikipedia page edited for one artist 3. “In-Class” Presentation1. 5-Page Paper double-spaced (1250 words)Write a 5-page essay presenting a mini-exhibition of 3 modern or contemporary artworks of any medium by 3 different artists. The Artworks will be found on your own or through one of the provided Artist Registries. Artists must have been born after 1930.The three artworks will be unified by a common theme ( the color purple, images of the ocean, the problems with gun violence, presidential politics, loneliness, etc.). This commonality is not necessarily something obvious, and you will make specific arguments for how the works share common ground or are in conversation with one another.Structure of Paper: Each artist should be introduced with some biographical background andsummary of their work including at least one citation from a secondary source. Then their artwork should be methodically analyzed for formal, material, pictorial qualities with an eye toward building a case for how these qualities give rise to a particular meaning. Then the works should be compared / contrasted to one another. What qualities do they share? How to they differ in the manner in which they address the common theme?
