Assignment Overview: Write an essay reflecting on what you have learned throughout the semester about how various aspects/characteristics of Africa’s geography relate to specific topics covered in the course modules. You should think critically- not merely regurgitate information- and write about 2-4 topics and your interpretation and analysis of these topics in proper essay format with well-structured sentences and paragraphs. Your essay should flow, connecting one topic and paragraph to the next. Your essay should relate to module topics covered in the lectures, readings, etc., and may refer to articles you have read about your Portfolio country but should not be based on your portfolio country(South Africa). Your essay should include at least 4 scholarly sources and use in-text citations where appropriate. You may include additional sources- scholarly or other- but are required to cite a minimum of 4 scholarly sources (i.e., research articles published in peer-reviewed journals). You may or may not use sources from your Annotated Bibliography (but remember, your essay should NOT focus on your portfolio country(South Africa)). 1. Write an essay reflecting on topics learned relative to the Geography of Africa throughout the course of the semester. 2. Use proper essay format, including indented paragraphs, proper sentence and paragraph structure, correct grammar and spelling, and use of references and in-text citations using APA citation style. 3. Include an Assignment Heading/Title and Word Count at the top of your document, and Subsection Headings throughout the essay (e.g., Introduction & Conclusion sections, and others based on content- for example- ‘Politics in Africa’ or ‘The Environment and Disease in Africa’ or ‘African Wildlife and Conservation’.
