Describe Liberal and Democratic stance.

The assignment consists of four parts. Part I is an introduction to the assignment. It should be a brief paragraph describing what you are about to do. Part II is a discussion of ten to issues listed on the information sheet attached. Choose issues that you feel most strongly about. Then, briefly, describe the issue, state your position on the issue, and give the rationale for your view of the issues. Keep your discussion of the issue short and to the point. Two hundred words should be enough. It is important that you give a couple of reasons why you are on the liberal or the conservative side of an issue. You will not be graded on your position on an issue. You will grade on your understanding of the issue and how well you state your viewpoint. Part III is a one-page conclusion on how you came to be a liberal or conservative. Try to identify the influences in your life that caused you to become a liberal or conservative. Those influences might include family, friends, clergy, teachers, political leaders, media personalities, or your own personal reflection. This is called political socialization. Political socialization along with the meanings of liberalism and conservatism are covered in depth in Chapter 6 in the textbook.Part IV is a brief conclusion which ties the whole assignment together.This assignment should be very interesting. You should seriously examine the political and social issues of the day and make reasoned decisions on what your position will be.**Please give the viewpoint of a African American Liberal.
