The first thing to do would be to sit down with the patient and his spouse to discuss their complaint. As the RN I need to understand where this dissatisfaction is coming from so I can know if it is something that the staff are doing directly or is it something that they are not doing that the couple perceives they should be. It also gives me a chance to find out if the spouse is the only one unsatisfied and Shaun is either indifferent or happy with service.
