Discuss Gender and Power in Families.

Write a brief personal reflection about the impact of your own gender on issues of privilege as addressed in the readings for this activity. Specifically, discuss your beliefs, stereotypes, and assumptions about gender roles and expectations in this society. Address issues of relationships, work, marriage, parenthood, and other issues that you may consider having been influenced profoundly by yours or others’ gender. Include two myths regarding gender that you did and/or currently carry in your life today.
