Specifically:Identify a useful article or video on creativity -There are many articles and videos on creativity from professionals and academics. There are many sources of professionals writing and speaking about creativity, including newspapers and magazines like the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Fast Company, and Harvard Business Review. There are many TED talks on the subject. Our library website (https://www.library.illinois.edu/bis/), as well as other resources like google scholar, provide access to what academics write. You may well identify other sources as well. Please provide us with the article or video itself, or a link, a reference, or some other clear way of accessing the material you found.Summarize what you believe makes it useful -To be useful, what you find needs to tell us something about creativity that we do not already know or needs to tell us something in a helpful new way.It is also critical that you consider why the information is credible. Why should we believe this speaker? What source of evidence do they have? If it is just their own observations and thoughts, why should we believe them? If it is based on data, what makes those data compelling?Explain how it provides a useful addition to our course -Articulate how the information you found extends what we have discussed about creativity. Perhaps it provides information on an aspect of creativity we did not discuss. In this case, tell us why this aspect is important. Perhaps it provides an alternative take or a deeper dive on as aspect of creativity we did discuss. In this case, tell us why the alternative or the additional information is helpful. Whatever it is, in this section you should make the case that this is information we should be including the next time we teach this course.Readings – Amabile, T. M. (1998). How to kill creativity.
