Since I live in Delaware, I have been received emails daily from the State Health Department that provide a brief video message from Governor Carney and other officials with accompanying charts detailing new cases, hospitalizations and deaths from the COVID-19 virus. Delaware has been a good example of mitigation and clear communication strategies, because as of May 9, 2020, we have 6,277 confirmed cases with 213 deaths, a death rate of 2.2 per 10,000 people. Please also visit your state’s web site and provide a summary of the state’s mitigation efforts as well as testing programs. As the last component of the paper, please describe the strategies your state has been using to communicate key messages to residents.
