Below is my Teacher Instructions:Please respond to two of your classmates’ posts.Posts (1)-Having a computer and access to the internet is significant today feel that everyone needs to get access to computers and the internet because they provide many opportunities such as online learning, researching information, making transactions, shopping. Much more—some people may not have the ability to pay for a computer or afford internet services. Much more, they shouldn’t have to feel discriminated against or excluded from these opportunities. For these reasons, I believe that the government should provide more support to people who do not have internet and computer access. For example, provide monetary assistance or training for those with these needs. The government should also arrange internet access to every location in the more remote places where it is needed.Post (2)-The Digital Divide is an interesting topic. Technology and the world are both moving forward. In my opinion, it seems imperative that as a whole, we need to offer technologies such as computers and WiFi to people for little or no costs. There are already several cities around the world, such as New York City, Paris, Hong Kong that offer free WiFi. I believe that more cities and governments need to work towards providing this. As the need for computers becomes more and more essential for work, school, and life in general. I believe employers should offer or, at the very least, help supplement the cost of a computer if they require their employees to work on them. I think colleges can and should provide essential laptops to students as so many college courses require work to b done digitally. There could even be government programs to help give people inexpensive or refurbished computers. The bottom line is work, school, technologies, and even day to day life are going to revolve are computers as society moves forward. If we don’t figure out a way to provide the essential tools to all people, there will be an enormous inequality gap.
