You are working as a nurse educator at a large-sized ambulatory care center, where you have been instructed to develop a course on cultural competency that all staff members, both nursing and interdisciplinary team members, will be required to attend. The community you reside in has recently had a large influx of asylum seekers from South and Central America and a sizable number of refugees from Syria and Afghanistan.
