Provide an in-depth analysis of your organization’s pay structure compared to the two competitors. You will need to be sure that you provide a comprehensive discussion of your organization’s strategy and how it competes with the other two organizations. You will also need to provide specific recommendations for your organization on things they may want to consider modifying about their compensation structure. Think about this portion of the project as though you are the VP of HR and are providing suggestions on how the organization may improve their strategic competitive advantage in the marketplace. It is not sufficient to simply suggest that you increase compensation. Be sure to be aware of the financial constraints of the organization, any societal factors (e.g. unemployment rate, turnover rate, etc.), and any competitive factors (e.g. have any of the competitors recently announced layoffs or new plant openings, recent financial performance of competitors, etc.) and factor these into your suggestions. It is critical that you are able to support your recommendations with a solid analysis of how your recommendations will foster a more productive and competitive organization over time. At the end of this portion of the project you will submit a professional completed report to the CEO (Prof. L-P) of your suggestions. This report will include some combination of the previous components, an executive summary of your recommendations, in addition to an in-depth comparative analysis between your organization and the two competitors.
