Write a research paper on The Black Lives Matter Movement

Due to the controversy behind my chosen research paper topic, my Professor accepted in on the terms that the paper claim/thesis was along the lines of social media’s aid in furthering the Black Lives Matter Movement.Argumentative research paper:Introduction: The claim driven research paper consists of an introduction in which the writer clearly introduces the topic and informs his or her audience exactly which stance he or she intends to take; this stance is the thesis statement. An important goal of the argumentative research paper is persuasion, which means the topic chosen should be debatable. You should provide some build up to your thesis statement including a hook to pull in your audience and often an introduction to a paper of this length may be two paragraphs. The most important thing to remember about the introduction is that it should draw your readers in and set up your assertion. If you use graphs or pictures to enhance your work, images should not be larger than the size of a credit card or your school id. If you feel you need to use an image larger than the size of a credit card or id, you should make up for the extra space used by adding more text. Also, any visual you use in your essay should be cited in the text and on your works cited page.Any background information that you think will be useful. Imagine that your readers are unfamiliar with the problems at the heart of your research. What will you have to tell them?A conclusion which reflects on your central question, claim, and research. What did you find out? How did the research answer your question (or complicate it)? Why are your findings important? – the So What Question should be answered.Papers will be graded on adherence to the criteria above as well as on clarity, organization, quality of supporting information, critical thinking and standard writing conventions. You will also need to use skills of analysis and synthesis in this essay.Rationale, purpose and audience:This essay is intended to help you pursue a central research claim using various authoritative sources. Throughout the process you will be asked to analyze and evaluate sources, decide on information relevant to your topic, and synthesize the information in a way that makes the paper more than a lot of quotations strung together. In other words, the paper should speculate on how well they support or refute your claim. Your intended audience should be other students—non-specialized people who may have an interest in your topic and professors of English. Your purpose is to show this audience how an aspect of your topic may influence their lives in surprising ways and possibly enhance their understanding of the world we live in. By the end of your essay, your readers should have a new appreciation for the complexities of a problem or concept they may not have considered before.Note: This paper is not a report. You will not just regurgitate information that you find. In fact, you should give the information but explain how the information relates to your project and supports your argument. Not doing so will significantly hinder your success on this paper.
