Uncategorized Assignment-helpRead the post below and then respond using the guidelines at the bottom:After closing Walt Disney World, the company lost a lot of money. Once they reopened, the company allowed Cast Members to have a 50% off discount on all merchandise. Many believe this action was made to increase the merchandise revenue and make the company more money. It has not been proven that this was the reasoning, but many believe it was the company trying to up for all the money lost due to closure. The company is known for giving the Cast a Holiday Discount of 40% during November to February (holiday season). But the question is, did this 50% discount make the company more money than the usual 20-30%? Or did it cost the company more money?Describe the key question: Disney gave Cast Members 50% off merchandise for one month instead of the usual 20-35% depending on your role. Did the company make more money on merchandise in the month of July 2020 than in the past years or did the company lose money by having such a large discount? What is the variable? H0: The money made off of merchandise in July 2020 = the money made off of merchandise in July 2019 – July 2010Ha: The money made off of merchandise in July 2020 < the money made off of merchandise in July 2019 – July 2010The variables for this test would be found by accessing the total sales report from all merchandise locations at Walt Disney World in Florida from July 2020 to July 2010. From there I would use Excel t-Testing to compare the 10 years in sales and to see if there were any changes.Describe the data you would use: I would need to see the total merchandise sales reports for the month of July from the last 10 years. I would also need to see what percent of these purchases were done with a Cast Member Discount. It is critical that I find this percentage because the hypothesis is based on if the company lost money due to giving a large discount for only cast members. If I do not find the percentage, my data will be incorrect leading to an error. The data already exists, but I do not have that kind of data currently. It would come from every location on Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property in Orlando, FL that sells merchandise. How would you explain to management the significance of this test? I would explain that this test can be used to see if the large discount was really worth it, or if it just caused the company to lose money. On the upside, if I am able to prove it was worth it and made the company more money, they could implement this kind of a discount again in the future to generate more revenue. By not using the hypothesis test in this situation, the company would be unaware of any profit it gained by promoting a large discount, but again, they would also be unaware of any major losses they may have endured.------------------------------------------------------------------------------There is often a benefit for the respondent as well. Responding to others on a substantive reflective level, it is possible to gain clarity on your own work. Sharing related personal experiences may also be part of a well-written response to other students but should not be the main focus. In responses to others consider things such as:Is the example and content clear? If you don't think so, offer insight on why, or ask for clarification.Look for relevant answers to the discussion questions. Do all parts of discussion align with each other? Is there continuity among all the steps? Are there any insights or reflections you can offer?
