Uncategorized Assignment-help5.3.2 Match Chart (Maximum 2 pages plus the original job description) This section will require self reflection in terms of achievements related to education, professional certification, and skills of importance to an employer offering a position of interest immediately following graduation. Step One Find a position currently being advertised which is an example of an ideal position you would like to achieve/obtain immediately after graduating from your Bachelor of Commerce degree or when you graduate from your second degree (i.e. Masters or Law Degree) if you plan on completing a second degree immediately following your bachelor’s degree. This must be an actual job description you have sourced from a real organization or a recruiter or a job posting website. The position description must be included in this section of the report behind the Match Chart for this section to be marked. Step Two Study the ad, underline, or highlight key words and phrases relating to qualifications (i.e. education and/ professional certification and skill required), responsibilities (i.e. tasks), and company information. Step Three Once you have reviewed the job posting in detail, do research on both the position and company. Think about your network in terms of do you know anyone in the company or in a similar position. If so, contact the individual to learn more. Also carefully review the company’s website if there is one available. This research will assist in providing a better understanding of the organization’s goals and you can think about how the organizations’ goals relate to your own personal goals. A chart in Word format can be found on the course website on Brightspace to use in the report. 5.3.4 Potential Employers (Maximum 4 pages) Identify and describe two companies (must not be the same company offering the position used in to complete the Match Chart). This section should include the following information for each potential employer written in your own words including secondary sourcing in APA format: • Description of the company (name, corporate structure, key markets, product/service offering(s) and location(s)); • Summary of a position of interest with this specific company for which you will be qualified for when you graduate. The position summary needs to include the following: o position title; o education and/or professional certifications; o skills required; and o tasks to be completed. • Explanation of the company’s recruitment strategies to find and select new employees to work for the organization (i.e. processes the company uses to find candidates and the screening process). This information may be available on the company websites or you may need to contact the company directly (i.e. Human Resources/Staffing Department). The information in this section needs to be credible. Any information obtained via “hearsay and informal conversations” are not considered credible sources. All secondary information must be sourced using APA format which includes both in-text citation and a reference page. Not citing secondary information is considered plagiarism
