Knowing what you know about the history and early image of Nursing, how will you as a nurse of the future, advance the image of nursing?
You are about to see two presentations that share the same goal: to encourage people to enter the profession of nursing. One of the videos was produced by six students at the Binghamton University Decker School/ of Nursing/ (BSN program) in upstate New York/. Entitled “Bringing Nursing Back” it has circulated on You-tube and has been viewed by more than 60,000 people. It was part of the student’s socialization to nursing class (similar to NU204) in which they had to complete an assignment that responded to the question, “What is nursing” and address the social impacts of the profession.
The other video entitled “ Dare of Care” was produced by Johnson & Johnson to encourage a diverse group of people to consider nursing as a career.

Comment on both videos in light of the present campaign to improve the image of nursing and attract more people into the profession.
