Paragraph one: Introduce the two works of art or architecture to your reader, identifying each by its title, artist or architect (if there is one), cultural identification (Assyrian, Egyptian, Greek, Gothic, etc.), and date (listed in the textbook or lecture). The student should then articulate their thesis, or “point-to-prove” in the essay.
