What is academic integrity and why is it important?

Please view the below video about the nature and purposes of an academic integrity policy (keeping in mind that some of the specific pieces related to this school of health sciences are not applicable). After viewing, please also read/review the SMC Academic Integrity Policy (attached). Then, please address the following questions (Note: each question should have 1-3 paragraphs and each paragraph should have 4-8 sentences).

1.What is academic integrity and why is it important?
2.Why are underlying Values important in academic integrity? For instance, what do they tell all stakeholders about the academic institution?
3.What values are identified in the SMC Academic Integrity Policy? What specific stakeholder groups are impacted by, or should have a vested interest in this policy? (hint: three specific stakeholder groups are noted in the first/introductory paragraph…try to add some others).
