Description: Creating a diverse workforce
Background: Modern organisations are becoming increasingly diverse. This provides positive
opportunities and some challenges for managers as they work to create a more inclusive work
environment.
Task: Drawing on the literature, write a report that outlines the concept of diversity in the
workplace, and discusses the management issues that emerge when attempting to support
workforce diversity. The report should then discuss a range of managerial and organisational
components that are considered essential to creating an inclusive work environment.
