Week 3 Learning Outcome 2 Define & apply the method of analysis that combines network, fault tree, event analysis , and vulnerability into a single methodology for quantitatively analyzing a sector . Part 1

You are the architect and designer of your sector. Since we do not have the resources to protect everything in the sector, It is essential that we analysis our sectors and protect the most critical assets. This week, we will focus on the Model Based Vulnerability Analysis. ( MVBA ). Thus far, you selected the sector for your project, made a list of assets/components, and conducted your network analysis to identify those critical nodes (assets/components). Now, we will explore the tools to include a fault tree analysis to assist in evaluating the vulnerability of each threat and the ultimate impact to the sector. ( Critical Infrastructure Protection in Homeland Security Page 113 Figure 5.3.

Let’s have a discussion on your sectors’ components, threats, probability and impact . Also, develop your fault tree and indicate any other tools used to validate your discussion. Also, please state your particular sector at the beginning of your post.
