On your first day as HIM director at a small community hospital, your coding staff has come to you complaining about the number of errors originating from patient registration. Over the course of the next week, you see how these errors are impacting the entire revenue cycle from duplicate medical record numbers to wrong insurances listed.
This assignment has two parts that must be addressed in this assignment.
1. Discuss the possible reasons for the errors.
2. Recommend how you would present this information to the patient registration director to reduce these errors.
