Hi again this is a previous work of yours I send it back to you for few issues to add/ explain further ; please find below comments:

I think you missed the mark on a several key areas. see below. Focus and specificity are success in media pitching and Twitter..

Notes:

Defend !) “television offer the most convenient platform” -says who? 2P) “Michigan is a big consumer of television” How do you know this? Insert citation or research (e.g. check Pew Research or others for this info – free to the public..)

– News producer role discussion – support this as well with citation ..

– Did you have a segment in mind – AM news? evening news or 11 PM news? Keep in mind -each show has its own producer..

– Your subject line is not localized – e.g. “Michigan” or “local” – why would a Michigan based producer open and look at it?

Tweet:

– Cut extra words e.g. “no less than”; “A huge” reprieve” and “unaffected” — simplify and use the word count for company name or ogther vital info.

– “general public” is too broad and will miss your target.. you want/need activists on the issue, government officials or others to notice and react to the tweet. The general public wil a) not see it or b) ignore it..

– no photos? video or other links (news release)? links to research orgs?

Subject : Essential Corporate Communications: Email Subject Lines and Tweet Analysis

Imagine you are the Public Relations Manager for Spaulding Health Research (SHR), headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan. SHR has just received $1.4 million in funding from the All One World Foundation. The resources will be used to create a global research initiative on risk reductions for childhood lead poisoning. The funds were awarded to support the human and capital investment needed to launch and sustain this initiative. Sylvia Wallander, president of SHR, attributed its selection to Spaulding’s breakthrough research in 2019 on preventing HIV in pregnancies.

Your task: Assume you have already written the news release. Now, provide the following…

Identify and justify the ideal media outlet for which this would have news interest (a traditional news outlet, not a blogger).
Identify the title of the news worker (no specific name needed) to whom you’d send it.
Write the email subject line only. This subject line must encourage the news worker to open, read, and use the news that’s contained in the body of your email. Create the best subject line for your email using no more than 50 characters (spaces not included)—be creative and concise.
Explain your rationale: What was the thought process you used to determine “the perfect subject line”? Your rationale should be written in 150–250 words.
Part Two Instructions: Tweet

Now, imagine you are in the same scenario (same organization, same newsworthy situation), but this time you are communicating, via Twitter, with one category of Spaulding’s many publics outside of the media (for example, employees, influencers, researchers in the field, donors, activists, victims of lead poisoning).

Your task: Once you’ve selected the type of public, provide the following…

Tweet: Create the best tweet—using no more than 280 characters—that you think would inspire someone to read, react, and retweet your message. Note: unlike the email subject line, the “character” count in Twitter includes all spaces used, including blank spaces. Draft your tweet in a Word document and monitor your characters-with-spaces count by left clicking on the word count in the bottom left of the document. (If you are unfamiliar with Twitter, now is the time to learn. Just go to one of the many tutorials available online).
Use at least one hashtag* in your tweet.
Optional: Use a mention** in your tweet.
Optional: If you include a hyperlink, consider shortening it through bitly or goo.gl or tinyurl.
Optional: Adding an image or any media will not be counted as part of your allowed 280 characters.
Identify the Public: Which category of publics are you targeting?
Explain your Rationale: What was the thought process you used to create “the perfect tweet”? Your rationale should be written in 150–250 words.
Notes

*Hashtags allow your tweets to be found. Two options:

Use (or create) an easy-to-remember short hashtag for an event, campaign, or issue and use it in all SM posts. For example, #iDriveFor stands for an American Cancer Society campaign.
Make it more general, like a regional identifier, #elpaso, or a topic, #gardening
** Mentions. If you mention a company or person, and they have their own Twitter account, use their handle (Twitter account name, for example @AmericanCancer). Why? It will turn into an active link, and the company/person will be notified that you “tagged” them—which may make them tag you and help increase your visibility. Handles are not counted as part of your allowed 280 characters.
