Part 1: Post your own Discussion Response Directions:
Read the question prompt for the discussion carefully. There is a specific format that the discussions must be in order to earn credit. When you are given a question with multiple components that must be included in the response, use a new paragraph to address each one of the bullet points in the prompt, but do not answer the questions using bullet points. Use college level English and grammar, capitalization, transitions and style in order to demonstrate advanced writing skills. The response should not sound like a list of answers to a list of questions; it should read like a coherent essay.
After you have crafted your response in a separate word processing document, click Reply and paste your response into the text box. Before you click submit, check for paragraphs, indentation, and make sure that it looks exactly as you would like it to look BEFORE submitting. Once you click “Post reply” you cannot edit or change your response, so make sure it looks exactly like you would like before you post.
In your Discussion Response, integrate vocabulary, concepts, theories from the course into your discussion. This is an academic discussion for you to demonstrate your mastery of the material.
You must write your Discussion responses in paragraph, essay format or you will receive a poor rating on your post regardless of the quality of the writing. Do not write your response as bullet points.
Proofread and make sure your ideas flow together; the discussions are your opportunity to demonstrate college level grammar and writing style. Discussion Responses have a 400 word minimum length requirement.
