This week you will be building upon last week’s assignment. The goal is to eventually develop a concept map – translating practice knowledge into conceptual language that is then represented visually. (Please see an example of a finished concept map below for reference)

This week, follow the prompts and submit a 1-2 page paper showing your progression towards the final concept map.

Discuss how the selected concept is used in nursing (eg, practice, research, theory focus).

Discuss how nursing goals are achieved related to the concept.

Discuss knowledge you have and knowledge you may need to achieve those goals.

Consider how you view the concept. Is it a property or a process? Is it a process or outcome?

Begin to sketch out a visual representation of the concept.
Discuss the nurse’s role in its management.
