• Provide an overview of temperature alignment model available on the market (i.e. desk-top research, interviews with SBTi, right. Based, Baringa and other major providers)
• Develop an assessment framework to compare them with each other, i.e. define a relevant set of criteria for comparison from a perspective of a financial institution (taking into account modeling approach, input data, assumptions, degrees of freedom, granularity of modeling, output KPIs and their interpretability, reputation of providers, easiness of integration at company, proximity of methodology to other climate models on the market, ability to meet internal commitments or specific regulatory requirements, etc)
• Analyse, how temperature alignment model and temperature score will be used at company to steer its investment portfolio (by running interviews with business owners/representatives from our company’s functions)
• Analyse results of different models for our compay’s sample portfolio, if they will be provided by our company or providers
• Assess available temperature alignment models according to proposed criteria and taking into account our company’s needs and provide a recommendation to our company, which model is most suitable for our company.
