Book Response to the Autobiography of Malcom X.

This is a book response paper for a history class.
In this response paper, you will be responding to Autobiography of Malcom X as Told by Alex Haley. You must connect the book to the articles I have provided.

There is some summary in a response paper but that should not be the whole paper and the paper is supposed to be a response not a review. Rather than saying whether you liked or disliked a book or an idea talk about what the author is saying and what it means in a larger historical context. Cite specific arguments and connect it to larger themes.

Consider these questions as you write the response paper. You do not need to go one by one answering each, but you should keep them in mind as you are writing:

What is the main problem or issue that the author is addressing?
What is the authors central claim argument or point?
What assumptions does the author make?
What evidence does the author present?
What are the strengths and weaknesses of the text?
What are possible counterarguments to the texts claims?
