Write an essay on “Coping With the Loss of a Loved One”

You will be writing a 1200 word (5 PAGE) Rhetorical Analysis essay based on the following three articles.

You will create a thesis and find a common theme. Then, take apart these essays detailing the rhetorical strategies of the author. You will comment on the author’s main point and purpose of the piece. You will then explore HOW the author uses his/her words to convey their point.

Each essay is very different and although they are linked, you must explain the differences in the SPEAKER, the AUDIENCE, the TONE and PURPOSE of each essay. Make sure you identify these elements of rhetoric to help you understand the piece as a whole. Obviously, word choices that each author uses are essential as well so highlight some representative lines from each.
